This quote changed my life...
Maybe it'll change yours too?
Do you know people who have an ALL OR NOTHING approach?
Maybe you’re one of them?
It’s either you read 20 pages of a book a day or 0.
It’s either you run 30 minutes or 0.
It’s either you don’t eat sweets at all or…
You stuff them in your mouth until you’re nauseous…
It’s either BLACK or it’s WHITE.
Let me tell you something.
ALL OR NOTHING approach shattered more dreams than procrastination and perfectionism.
This quote made me stop for a while:
“Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little”. ~ Edmund Burke
Today you can’t read 10 pages? Read 5.
You can’t read 5? Read 1.
Can’t read 1? Read one sentence…
Be in touch with your habit every day.
This is how you engrain it.
There's also a sneaky part of the ALL OR NOTHING approach…
'Oh, I ate one sweet… It’s already a lost day… I need consolation… I’ll eat the whole bar'.
NO.
You ate one sweet. OK. Don’t eat another one. It's not a lost day.
Life is not black or white.
It has shades of gray.
🔑 HERE’S THE KEY YOU’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR:
Daily action regardless of your feelings, thoughts, and mood.
The bottom line is:
When you went against your resolution…
Forgive yourself.
Don’t fall into a downward spiral.
Some days are good, some days are worse.
ONE BAD DAY ≠ ONE BAD MONTH
WRITING TIP OF THE WEEKLimit "that" in your writing. Often times it's unnecessary.EXAMPLE: ❌ He's saying that I'm lazy.✅ He's saying I'm lazy. The fewer words, the better.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK"Don't take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from".
